Historically Inaccurate Description

I didn't buy the book - I'm rating the description. The arrangement of the marriage of Mary Stuart to Darnley did not anger Margaret's uncle Henry, as he was long dead by the time. Henry tried to get Mary for his son, Edward, but failed. She married the son of the King of France instead. Darnley was her second husband. The Stuart-Darnley marriage would have angered Elizabeth, who was the queen by then.

Dull and not especially fact filled. I think the author watched Disney's Brave as she was writing this book. I half expect the read that Henry VIII's sister was tuned into a bear. History is sloppy, too much conjecture on what she felt or thought. Skip it!

The other side of the Tudors

Easy reading as it is written like a novel but without all the descriptive text. ie: verbs and whimsical character thoughts. Full of information and a lovely insight into history. Well recommended
