Excellent!

I am actually a current student in the author's class on Law Enforcement, and he teaches using this book. The text is extremely informative about the life of a police officer, as well as offering information about theories and the history/development of Law Enforcement. The author actually has real-life experience with a police department (he was a member of Tallahassee PD for quite awhile), and a lot of what he writes about is based on those experiences.
Very informative book, great/easy read, and very interesting. I definitely recommend purchasing this! I think I might even decide to keep my textbook, instead of selling it back to the bookstore like I normally do at the end of the semester.

Great Content: Horrible Printing

I took Dr. Doerner's Law Enforcement Class with this text. The Content is great with enough examples to make anyone understand the concepts. The only problem with it, and why it recieved 4-stars, is that the printing in, at least my copy and others I have seen, is horrible. Letters overlap, unexplained spaces, and just random little errors located very commonly throughout the text. While it does not destroy the book, it does disrupt the reading and therefore subtracts from the otherwise 5-star rating.

Perfect for what I needed

This book was ordered through Amazon as an alternative to buying it at the school bookstore. My daughter needed it for a class. It arrived timely and exactly as represented and alot less expensive than the bookstore. Would order again from this seller.
