If I hadn't had to read it for class...

Ugh. Masturbatory nonsense written by a self-important dramaturg/director. Focuses almost exclusively on Australian and European styles of dramaturgy, which isn't very useful when trying to learn more about the topic in the United States. While there were some interesting points made, the overall self-congratulatory tone of the text turned me off completely. Instructors: PLEASE find something else for your courses!
